Charitable Initiative The Gift of Giving
The platform healthcare advisory board and management team will be in a unique position to provide valuable insights and guidance to the charitable foundation in selecting partners focused on similar issues and making grants to worthy operators. Meet the Advisors The gift of healthcare to those living in impoverished countries is important to Global Healthcare’s overall mission. Our company seeks to take a truly global approach to healthcare and will direct 10% of profits generated by the platform from the fund to a charitable foundation.
The developing world faces significant healthcare challenges including the spread and persistence of infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, malaria, pneumonia, tuberculosis, among other neglected infectious diseases, the lack of general public understanding of topics such as family planning, nutrition, maternal/neonatal care and child health and the need for specialized care to address cardiovascular, neuromuscular and brain disorders.
Healthcare facilities in the developing world are often concentrated in cities for political reasons or convenience for the physicians rather than in rural areas where the vast majority and neediest patients live and the issue is exacerbated by the lack of adequate infrastructure, namely impassable roads and poor transportation networks, to allow these patients to travel into the cities to receive care.
